Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TraceLinker (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by them.

1. Account

You must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Sign-in uses passwordless magic links - keep your inbox protected.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to crawl, audit, or store data for sites you do not own or have permission to analyze in a way that violates that site's terms.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service.
• Upload illegal content, malware, or content that infringes a third party's rights.
• Abuse the AI scoring or outreach generators to create spam.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

3. Subscription and billing

• The Free plan is free indefinitely with the limits described on the Pricing page.
• Paid plans (Pro, Agency) are billed monthly or annually via our payment processor.
• All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Taxes may apply based on your location.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the current period; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods.
• Quota resets monthly on the billing cycle date. Unused audits do not roll over.

4. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance when possible.

5. AI-generated content

Backlink scoring, reasoning, action recommendations, toxicity verdicts, and outreach drafts are produced by an AI model. They are best-effort assessments and not legal, business, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for any actions taken based on AI output, including emails you send through the outreach drafts.

6. Outreach emails

Any outreach email you send through TraceLinker (Gmail integration, mailto links, or PDFs you forward) is your responsibility. Do not send unsolicited bulk email or violate anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR).

7. Data ownership

You own your audit data. We process it on your behalf and do not sell it to third parties. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TraceLinker's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email and on this page. Continued use of the Service after the change date constitutes acceptance.
